This elegant appetizer is super-simple to make--just wrap bacon around scallops and water chestnuts, then bake until golden brown.

  • Servings: 4


6 Large Scallops
6 slices Bacon
1 can Whole Water Chestnuts
Garlic Powder
Salt & Pepper, to taste


Cut scallops in half. Slice bacon lengthwise into strips. Drain water chestnuts. Place one water chestnut on each scallop piece; wrap with bacon and secure with toothpick. Place on a greased cookie sheet; sprinkle lightly with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Broil for 10-15 minutes until bacon is cooked. May also bake at 300 degrees.
