Ahi tuna is cooked in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice and garlic in a pan on the grill.
 

Ingredients

  • 4, ahi tuna steaks, about 1/2- to 3/4-inch thick
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 large garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 Lemons: 1/4 teaspoon grated zest and the juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed sea salt
  • Crushed pepper
  • Cooked jasmine rice

Method

Place ahi steaks in 9-inch square tin. Drizzle with 1/2 cup of olive oil; crush garlic over ahi steaks; sprinkle with lemon zest; pour lemon juice over ahi. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place pan on Grill on Medium Heat for 15 minutes. Serve the olive oil-lemon-garlic mixture spooned over fish, along with jasmine rice.
