If you love shrimp cocktail, this is the perfect Halloween dish for you with shrimp in a jello mold for brains and cocktail sauce blood.
 

Ingredients

  • 10-12 ounces small cooked ready to eat shrimp, 1 inch size
  • 1 3 ounces package lemon Jello
  • 1 /2 cup spicy tomato or plain tomato juice
  • 1 cup cocktail sauce
  • 1 cup boiling water

Method

Using a small oval bowl, line with several sheets of plastic wrap. Allow wrap to hang over sides leaving enough to fold back over top. Prepare Jello in a medium bowl, adding water and stirring until gelatin is dissolved. Add tomato juice and chill about 20 minutes or until it starts to set. Stir Jello and add shrimp to bowl. Fold in shrimp then pour into prepared bowl. Push shrimp against sides and tightly wrap mixture. Return to refrigerator and chill several hours. Before serving, place 1 /2 cup cocktail sauce on serving plate. Spread over plate and center the unmolded jello (i.e. brains) on the "blood smear." Pour remaining blood and cocktail sauce over brains.

 

Notes: This is a fun, tasty appetizer for shrimp cocktail fans.
