Grilled Tilapia

Tilapia fillets are marinated in a Dijon-olive oil mixture with seasonings, grilled and served with a sauce of milk and mushroom soup.
 

Ingredients

  • Marinade:
  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp jerk sauce
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp fresh dill weed
  • Sauce:
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 rounded tablespoon cream of mushroom soup
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • Drop of bar-b-q sauce
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Method

Marinate the fish in refrigerator for 2 hour. Bring the marinated fish to room temperature (1/2 hour). Heat and oil grill pan on medium high heat and grill fish 3-4 minutes each side or until cooked. Sauce: Melt butter and mix all the ingredients in the saucepan. Simmer and cook to a medium consistency (not too thick). Pour the sauce while hot on tilapia and serve immediately.

 

Notes: You can serve the grilled tilapia on a bed of fresh baby spinach dressed with lemon, olive oil, salt and pepper.
