Marinated Grilled Shrimp

This flavorful and healthy dish is perfect for summer and makes a great addition to a big green salad.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs 15-20 count shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 tbsp fresh chopped garlic
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh chopped basil
  • 1 whole lemon fresh squeezed, juice only
  • 1 tbsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp fresh cracked pepper
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
 
Method

Mix all ingredients in a large ziptop bag and shake until mixed. Place in refrigerator for 2-3 hours, shaking occasionally. Drain off remaining marinade and skewer shrimp on water soaked wood skewers. Grill until pink and firm, 2-3 minutes on each side.
