Olive Garden Shrimp Scampi- Only Better

No need to eat out when you can make your own Shrimp Scampi quick and easy at home.

2 Tbsp Olive Oil
2-3 Tbsp Butter
3-4 Garlic Cloves, peeled and roughly chopped
¼-1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes, to taste
1 lb Large (16-20 Count) Shrimp, shelled and deveined, leave the tails on
½ cup Sherry
2 Tbsp Finely Chopped Parsley
The Zest of 1 Lemon
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
Freshly Ground Black Pepper, to taste
Kosher or Sea Salt, to taste


1. In a sauté pan over medium-high heat the olive oil and butter and once the butter melts, foams up and subsides, add the garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for a minute, or until the garlic becomes translucent.

2. As the garlic just begins to brown, add the shrimp. Add the wine and stir to combine and coat the shrimp with the butter, oil, and wine.

3. Arrange the shrimp out in an even, single layer in the pan and increase the heat to the highest setting and let the wine boil vigorously for 2 to 3 minutes.

4. After the shrimp cooks for 2 to 3 minutes on one side, turn the shrimp over and boil the wine for another minute.

5. Remove the pan from the heat, sprinkle the parsley and lemon zest over the shrimp and toss to combine. Add the lemon juice and black pepper and salt, to taste. Serve immediately with crusty bread.
