Seafood Melts

Here's a quick dish for seafood lovers. Just top cream cheese-spread French bread with your favorite cooked seafood and cheese and bake.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 T. dry ranch salad dressing mix
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • l loaf French bread, cut in half lengthwise
  • 1 lb cooked salad shrimp or 1 lb. cooked dungeness crabmeat
  • 4 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded (1 cup)

Method

Mix first four ingredients and spread over each French bread half. Top with the cooked seafood. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top and bake in a 350 degree F. oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until the mixture is hot and the cheese has melted.

 

Notes: This is best made with fresh cooked seafood. Frozen works fine if it is completely thawed before putting it on the spread.
