Shrimp & Crab Cakes


Combine shrimp and crab with cooked celery and onion, flour, breading mix, and Old Bay seasoning for these patties. Serve for dinner or as an appetizer.



Ingredients:

  • 3 Tbsp. Margarine
  • 2 Stalks Celery, Chopped
  • 1 Small Onion, Chopped
  • 1 Lb Crab Meat
  • 1 Lb Peeled Shrimp
  • 1 C. All Purpose Flour
  • 1 C. Seafood Breader Mix
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tbsp Seasoned Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Cooking Oil

Method

Melt margarine in frying pan. Add celery and onion to butter and cook until brown. Set aside. In mixing bowl put crab, shrimp, 1/2 flour, and 1/2 C seafood breader, eggs, seasonings, onions, and celery. Mix well. Make into patties. Mix remaining flour and seafood breader in separate bowl. Dredge patties into flower mixture. Put 1 inch cooking oil into frying pan and heat on medium. When oil is hot, place patties in frying pan and cook until browned.

Notes: These patties are great left over!
