Shrimp de Jonghe


Cooked shrimp are placed in a baking dish and covered with a buttery-rich bread crumb mixture--containing sherry, garlic and parsley--that is baked to brown the crumbs.



Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, melted  
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced  
  • 1/3 cup chopped parsley  
  • 1/2 tsp paprika  
  • Dash cayenne  
  • 2/3 cup dry sherry  
  • 2 cups soft bread crumbs  
  • 8 cups cooked shrimp    

Method

Add garlic, parsley, paprika, cayenne and sherry to melted butter. Mix. Add bread crumbs and toss. Put shrimp in a 11x7" baking dish. Spoon butter mix over. Bake in 325 degree oven for 20-25 minutes until crumbs brown. Garnish with additional parsley.
