Shrimp Salad Plate


Large shrimp are arranged on lettuce along with olives, pickles, tomato, hard cooked eggs, and fruit wedges, and served with a mayonnaise and chili sauce dressing.



Ingredients:

  • 1 pkg (40-50) large shrimp.
  • 3 Tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning.
  • 1/2 head lettuce, shredded.
  • 9 ripe olives.
  • 9 green olives.
  • 6 small Kosher dill pickles.
  • 3 hard cooked eggs (deviled).
  • 1 fresh tomato, cut into 6 wedges.
  • 1 navel orange, cut into 6 wedges.
  • 1 delicious apple, cut into 6 wedges.
  • 1 lemon, cut into 6 wedges.
  • 9 sweet seedless grapes.
  • 1 cup Kraft mayonnaise.
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce

Method

Add about 1 to 2-qts. water to a pan. Add shrimp and Old Bay Seasoning. Bring to boiling point; add shrimp. Cook until done. Drain and peel, leaving tails. Refrigerate to cool. On an attractive plate, place a generous amount of lettuce in center. Place shrimp on top. Garnish with eggs, olives, pickles, tomato and fruit. Mix chili sauce with mayonaise, a little at a time, as chili sauce is spicy. Add to taste.

Notes: Sauce can be added to shrimp before serving or served to let guests add as they desire. Sauce serves as dressing for lettuce also. Serve with baked rolls and beverage of choice and dessert.
