Tongan Ota Ika

Fresh Ahi tuna is chilled with lemon juice and topped with coconut milk, onion, and red chili for a little heat. This dish is beautiful and packed with flavor.

Ingredients:

1¾ lb Fresh Ahi Tuna, diced into ¾" cubes
3 tsp Salt, divided
⅓ cup Lemon Juice
¾ cup Coconut Milk, fresh or canned
½ cup Minced Onion
2 Minced Red Chilies or, to taste

Directions:

In a large bowl, combine tuna and 2 tsp of salt. Refrigerate for 45-60 minutes. Add lemon juice and toss to coat. Refrigerate for 10 minutes. Add coconut milk, onion, chilies, and 1/2-1 teaspoon of the remaining salt, to taste.
